Born with visual impairment on October 29, 1961, in the remote village of Nkandla, KZN South Africa, Ntombifuthi Sosibo emerged from humble beginnings. Overcoming adversity, she achieved her high school matriculation and embarked on a journey of employment, starting as a typist/security personnel at the Department of Social Development in July 1987. Her unwavering dedication saw her serve in this role for an impressive 23 years.
Transitioning her career, Ntombifuthi spent the subsequent 7 years contributing her skills to BPW AXLES. However, her heart truly lay in the world of entertainment. Alongside her professional commitments, she immersed herself in music, actively participating in diverse musical choirs and lending her vocal and acting talents to various events.
Driven by her artistic passion, she carved a niche in the music industry by recording a remarkable Isicathamiya album dedicated to women. Her talents extended beyond sound, as she found a creative outlet in writing and acting. This journey led her to the esteemed entertainment company Zollyhood, where she flourished. Her written works and performances in drama series captured the hearts of audiences, ultimately earning her the prestigious Best Drama award at the 2022 Zollyhood Annual Awards.
Beyond her accomplishments, Ntombifuthi takes pride in her role as a devoted single mother to her daughter and a loving grandmother to two grandchildren. Her life’s story stands as a testament to resilience, artistic expression, and the pursuit of excellence against all odds.
